5th/6th & 7th/8th Grade Region and Parish Programs

There will be 1 “Region” Team for 5/6  grade division.   Same setup for the 7/8 grade divisions.  There will be a number of “Parish” Teams that will play in the 5/6 grade divisions.  Same for the 7/8 grade divisions.  Long story short - everyone who signs up will be on a team.

Please note the differences of teams: 

A Region team has to be made following the 2-day tryout, and invitations will be sent to those that made the respective team from each age and gender division.  It is STRONGLY encouraged that your child(ren) attend both nights if they are interested in making on a Region team.  The region team requires a high level of commitment, and provides the opportunity to compete in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (AOP) playoffs.  If your child(ren) does not make a Region team, declines an invitation for a Region team, or prefers not to tryout for a Region team, then they will be placed onto one of the Parish Teams. 

A Parish team is slightly less competitive, the commitment level is slightly less demanding, and there is not an opportunity to compete in the AOP playoff season.  There are, however, parish league playoffs within the league.

Uniforms: Each player will be issued reversible shorts and reversible jerseys at the beginning of the season.  These uniforms must be returned to the program at the end of the season.

Tryouts are scheduled as follows:

  • ALL tryouts will be held at Enfield Elementary School off of Montgomery Ave. (across from Cisco Park).  Players should arrive early in order to get checked-in and obtain a numbered tryout jersey.  Enfield has a water fountain, but we definitely encourage players to bring their own water bottle.

  • Boys 5/6: Wednesday, 11/6 and Thursday, 11/7.  Arrival will be at 6pm and the sessions will end at 7:30pm.  

  • Boys 7/8: Wednesday, 11/6 and Thursday, 11/7.  Arrival will be at 7:15pm and the sessions will end at 8:45pm.  

  • **It is strongly encouraged to attend both sessions if your child is interested in playing on a regional team.

We ask that all parents review and sign the assessment waiver. The signed waiver will be collected at tryouts.
